Dear Family,

It’s been a fabulous week!  I have to admit I wasn’t sure taking time to go to the MTC was worth the time.  Oh, how I was WRONG!  The spirit, instructors, and instruction was life changing.  We enjoyed every minute of our time.

Love,

Sister Heidi Shipp

Here we are — Hong Kong! But, our assignment covers 22 countries. As we send you updates you will have to pull us up on a globe map — or google— to find out where it is.
We had the opportunity to be assigned to the only non-English speaking senior couple in the MTC this last week. Because of this, we used an interpreter the whole week giving lessons and feedback to each other. This was such a blessing because we will probably be using interpreters A LOT the next two years. This sweet couple was so loving and full of the spirit! Dad and Elder —- had fun sense of humors and so got along very well.
This is our district. We are each going to completely different mission assignments but learned so much. Sister Barlow our MTC teacher was also Jeff and Torrie’s teacher! It’s a small world! We studied three and a half hours in the morning with this group and three and a half hours in the afternoon with this group everyday. Because of our time together we became very close. I really enjoyed learning how to use the gospel apps. How to highlight, write lessons online, do tags with scriptures etc! I also really enjoyed our slow scripture study together.
Meeting and talking to the young Sisters and Elders was AWESOME! Each was so focused and excited about their own assignment. These sisters are going to Vietnam (part of our area). The Sister in the pink blouse lived across the hall at BYU from Sarah—she loves Sarah and these sisters are part of Sarah’s zone.
